Josh Geffin 'Hold On To The Light' Tour - Falmouth

  • The Fish Factory Commercial Road Penryn, England, TR10 8AG United Kingdom (map)

Celebrating his EP release on the 1st July, Josh will be travelling the UK and we’re very happy to announce The Fish Factory as a show on the tour. ‘Hold on to the Light’ is made up of tracks written in lockdown and showcases Josh’s ever growing talents as a finger picking guitarist and folk singer-songwriter. Leaning further into his indie side but not forgetting his folk roots, Josh is writing tracks that aren’t afraid to be pop bangers. Speaking of, he’ll be supported by the folk-pop, dad-rock banjo madness that is Jimmy Grayburn & The All Night Chemist on the tour.

Josh Geffin

“A fine new voice in an honourable British tradition of folk-based singer-songwriters” – RnR magazine

Josh Geffin is a highly acclaimed singer-songwriter from London whose virtuosic guitar playing and poetic songs create a spellbinding experience full of depth, humour and musical beauty.

His music has been described as “masterful” by Fresh On The Net and “a welcome and sensitive breath of fresh folk air” by folk singer Sam Lee. Josh’s last EP ‘Islands’, released by Culture Recordings, was referred to as a ‘beautiful EP of compelling folk-indie with real gravitas’ by Americana UK who gave it 8/10.

A regular fixture on the London folk scene, Josh has toured the UK, Ireland and Canada and performed at the The Royal Albert Hall, South Bank Centre and on the Marc Riley Show (BBC 6 Music). He has opened for established acts such as Amiina and Ye Vagabonds and featured as a ‘Troubadour’ in a major art performance by Ragnar Kjartannson at the Barbican.

Josh has collaborated with many great musicians, including Grammy-nominated producer Sonny Johns, singer-songwriter Victoria Hume and violinist Alice Zawadski, and his music has been placed widely on television.

Josh's forthcoming EP 'Hold On To The Light' is supported by a Recording & Releasing Grant from Help Musicians and is due for release on July 1st 2022 on Pear O’Legs Records. The first single 'Best We Could' is out now.

“Remarkable depth and gravity” – Bright Young Folk

Jimmy Grayburn & The All Night Chemist

‘Jimmy Grayburn plays a mean banjo’ - RnR magazine

Just a bit too earnest to be truly tongue and cheek, Jimmy’s music celebrates and mocks the mundane while stirring the soul.

Anything from cheesy pop songs about mobile phones, to moody trad folk exploring the modern-day fur industry, Jimmy’s music has storytelling at its heart.

After performing with The Medlars, Jimmy is now working with his new band Jimmy Grayburn & The All Night Chemist and will soon be showcasing his new take on “folk”.
