Nick Hart

Nick Hart

Nick Hart is a folk singer deeply rooted in the English tradition. His repertoire is made up largely of songs from his native East Anglia, which are presented simply, with minimal guitar accompaniment and a great emphasis on storytelling. His first album ‘Nick Hart Sings Eight English Folk Songs’ was released in 2017 to critical acclaim and in May 2019, Nick will be touring the country to support the release of the follow up album ‘Nine English Folk Songs’.

‘Nick Hart Sings Nine English Folk Songs’ is Nick’s second solo album, and is very much a follow up to its predecessor. As with ‘Eight English Folk Songs’, this album is a collection of traditional ballads, sung to a sparing guitar accompaniment, with occasional contributions from Tom Moore on viola and from singer Dominie Hooper. The album was recorded by Tom over five days in October 2018, in a portable studio, set up in a house in the Norfolk countryside. All the tracks were recorded completely live, allowing the nuances of timing and metre to shine through and the subtle interplay between the voices and instruments to come to the fore.

Andy Skellam

Andy Skellam

Andy Skellam is a Bristol based Herefordian who creates an idiosyncratic blend of surreal folk & dissonant blues using acoustic/electric guitar, banjo and his baritone singing voice. His music reflects darkly humorous & deeply affecting absurdities.
