We are back with more great music coming all the way from Kent.
Charlie Hannah is co-frontman of psych-pop band Itchy Teeth and one half of the surreal duo Starfish Men. He is about to release his third solo album, ’Standing on the Verge of Getting a Cold’, on Margate-based label ‘M8’s Records’. As a ‘singer’-songwriter, he is noted for his impressive one and a half octave vocal range, and the micro-genre he coined, called ‘Domestica’. He describes it as ‘music made at home about subjects such as hobbies, housework and the human condition’.
Charlie’s live band comprises some of the finest musicians in the Kent music scene - with Oli Booker (Itchy Teeth) on drums, Luke Menniss (Lapis Lazuli) on bass, Nou Helm and Flo Stirrup (the Selkies) on vocals, percussion and sax, and Chris Brown (Lazy Pilgrims) on guitar.
The Selkies are a folk fusion duo from rural Kent. They released their first record ‘The Woodlouse E.P’ in 2017.
Loved in Kent, it’s time they came to London to share they’re beautiful music with us all.
